Engr. Olawumi Akanmu Gasper is an academic and administrator of repute. He is an alumnus of the Cranfield University, England, national institute for policy and strategic studies, Kuru, Manchester Business school and the Lagos business school. He is a two-term past rector of the Lagos state polytechnic, past chairman, council of heads of polytechnics in Nigeria and past vice-chairman, commonwealth association of polytechnics in Africa.

A chartered engineer, fellow of the Nigerian society of engineers and fellow Nigerian institution of mechanical engineers. He was a member of the governing board of the national board for technical education, Lagos state public service staff development centre, Magodo and Lagos state technical and vocational education board. Olawumi was a delegate and member, UNESCO assisted reforms of the Nigerian science, technology and innovation systems. A two-term award recipient as best rector in the country by national association of Nigerian students.

Olawumi’s career path and achievements over the years led him to become the first executive secretary/ ceo of a state tve regulatory body. He is an avid supporter of local content development initiatives and participates actively in key programmes focused on the mentoring and development of the nigerian youth in innovation and entrepreneurship.

He sits on the board of the international health management services [HMO], synapses Nig ltd and is the chairman of Bism Nig Ltd. Currently, he is tendering with delight his passion as he nurtures the development of technical and vocational education in Nigeria.
