Learning Expectations

  • How to read and understand approved ELECTRICAL drawing.
  • Proficiency in identifying basic ELECTRICAL materials and equipment.
  • How to lay ELECTRICAL PIPES and ASSOCIATED FITTINGS as CONDUITS or on SURFACES in buildings/structures
  • How to install ELECTRICAL or COMMUNICATION wires through the electrical pipes in the building/structure.
  • How to CONNECT laid WIRES to FUSES, BREAKERS and other SAFETY COMPONENTS in conformity with the approved electrical design
  • How to CONNECT fixtures (like sockets, switches, bulbs, etc) to the electrical system.
  • How to prepare the final MAINS CABLE ready for MAINS POWER CONNECTION
  • How to TROUBLESHOOT electrical faults.

PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Basic literacy in and use of English language.
